Reflection

It took some time to get used to both the CUNY Blackboard platform and the CUNY Commons website. Both websites had pros and cons. I liked that in the CUNY Blackboard platform there is a help symbol on the editing portfolio page. It was useful because it highlights icons and explains what they do. A drawback for the CUNY Commons website was that a separate platform (Lynda) was needed to guide how to use the website. However, I do understand why videos on Lynda were necessary because the website is complex and it needs a whole set of videos to understand how to use the website. The CUNY Commons website has many features there are more ways to get creative with the website. I like that the website looks more professional and can be more customized on the CUNY Commons website compared to the CUNY Blackboard platform. Something else I noticed was, glitches while was changing the layout of my website on CUNY Blackboard. I did not encounter any glitches on CUNY Commons. While CUNY Commons takes a bit more work and time to figure out I think that the website end result is more professional, which is better if we want to use this website in future to show potential employers.
